Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa

Here’s a zesty and spicy Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa that’s bright, fresh, and perfect for tacos, grilled meats, chips, or even as a salad dressing base. It’s bold, green, and full of flavor — kind of like a salsa verde meets a creamy green sauce 🌿🌶️


🥣 Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa

🌿 Ingredients:

  • 2–3 jalapeños (seeded for mild, keep seeds for heat)

  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro (stems are fine, about 1 packed cup)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or avocado oil)

  • 1/4 cup water (adjust for texture)

  • Salt to taste (start with 1/2 tsp)

  • Optional:

    • 1 avocado (for a creamy version)

    • 1 tbsp honey or agave (balances heat)

    • 1/4 tsp cumin (earthy twist)


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Prep Ingredients:

    • Roughly chop the jalapeños and garlic for easier blending.

  2. Blend:

    • In a blender or food processor, combine cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, water, and salt.

    • Blend until smooth. Add more water or oil to adjust consistency.

  3. Taste & Adjust:

    • Add more salt, lime juice, or jalapeño to suit your taste.

    • If you want it creamier, add avocado or a spoonful of sour cream or Greek yogurt.

  4. Chill (Optional):

    • Let it sit in the fridge for 15–30 minutes for flavors to meld.


🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Drizzle over carne asada tacos or grilled chicken

  • Use as a dip for chips or veggies

  • Spoon over burrito bowls, nachos, or roasted potatoes

  • Stir into mayo or sour cream for a spicy aioli or taco crema
