Posted on June 24, 2025

Here’s a quick, fun, and no-bake recipe for Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls — perfect for parties, holidays, or a sweet snack anytime!

🍫 Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate, if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1/4 cup honey or light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: sprinkles, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts for coating

Instructions:

  1. Melt Chocolate & Peanut Butter:
    • In a saucepan over low heat (or in the microwave in 30-second intervals), melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and honey together until smooth.
    • Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt.
  2. Mix with Cereal:
    • In a large bowl, add Rice Krispies cereal.
    • Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold until well combined.
  3. Form Balls:
    • Let the mixture cool slightly (so it’s easy to handle but still pliable).
    • Scoop and roll into 1-inch balls using your hands or a cookie scoop.
  4. Optional Coatings:
    • Roll balls in sprinkles, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts.
  5. Chill:
    • Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.

✅ Tips & Variations:

  • Nut-free? Use sunflower seed butter or cookie butter.
  • Sweeter version: Add mini marshmallows or use marshmallow fluff.
  • Holiday flair: Use colored sprinkles for festive themes (red/green for Christmas, pastel for Easter, etc.).

Would you like a marshmallow-based version or one that’s gluten-free or dairy-free?
