Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls

Posted on April 24, 2025

YUM—Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls are like the grown-up, snackable cousin of Rice Krispie treats . They’re crispy, chocolatey, and perfect for parties, holidays, or whenever you want something sweet and no-fuss. Bonus? No oven needed.

Chocolate Rice Krispie Balls

 Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

  • ½ cup peanut butter (creamy works best)

  • ¼ cup honey or corn syrup

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional toppings: sprinkles, shredded coconut, crushed nuts, melted white chocolate

 Instructions:

  1. Melt the chocolate mix
In a saucepan over low heat (or in a microwave-safe bowl), melt together:

    • Chocolate chips

    • Peanut butter

    • Honey (or syrup)

    • Stir until smooth and glossy.

  2. Add vanilla & salt, stir to combine.

  3. Mix in cereal
Pour in Rice Krispies and stir gently until fully coated.

  4. Shape into balls
Let the mixture cool just enough to handle (not too long or it’ll get firm), then scoop and roll into 1-inch balls.

  5. Chill
Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

  6. Optional
Drizzle with melted white chocolate, roll in sprinkles, or dip half in chocolate for a pretty finish.

 Storage:

Keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week—or freeze for up to 2 months. Great for make-ahead treats!
