Posted on September 19, 2025

Oh yes, the Cheesy Million Dollar Casserole — a total crowd-pleaser that’s creamy, cheesy, and ridiculously comforting! Here’s a simple recipe to whip it up easily.

Cheesy Million Dollar Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini)

  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers or buttery crackers (for topping)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for topping)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
    To 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix the base:
In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir until smooth.

  3. Add chicken and cheese:
Fold in shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked pasta. Mix well. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.

  4. Transfer to casserole dish:
Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  5. Prepare topping:
Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the casserole. Add some extra shredded cheese on top if you like it cheesier.

  6. Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

  7. Serve:
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Perfect with a green salad or steamed veggies.
