Cheesy Chicken Fritters

Here’s a tasty recipe for Cheesy Chicken Fritters — crispy, cheesy, and packed with tender chicken. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or even a main dish served with a dipping sauce!


🧀 Cheesy Chicken Fritters

🍽️ Servings: 4

⏱️ Time: 25–30 minutes


🧂 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or finely chopped

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella for milder flavor)

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or fresh parsley

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or olive oil)


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cheddar, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, green onions (and bell pepper if using).
    Season with salt and pepper. Mix well until everything sticks together.

  2. Form Fritters:
    Shape the mixture into small patties or balls (about 2-3 inches in diameter).

  3. Heat Oil:
    In a skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of oil over medium heat.

  4. Cook:
    Fry the fritters in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
    Drain on paper towels.

  5. Serve:
    Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (ranch, marinara, or spicy mayo work great).


🍽️ Tips & Variations:

  • Bake instead of fry: place patties on a greased baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  • Add some heat with diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper.

  • For a lighter version, use ground chicken and bake or air-fry the fritters.

  • Add a handful of corn kernels or chopped spinach for extra texture and flavor.
