Cheesy Burrata Crostini with Prosciutto and Peaches

Here’s a delicious and elegant recipe for Cheesy Burrata Crostini with Prosciutto and Peaches—perfect for appetizers or a light bite!

Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing the crostini)
  • 1-2 burrata balls (or fresh mozzarella if you prefer)
  • 1-2 ripe peaches, sliced thinly
  • 4 oz prosciutto, torn into smaller pieces
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for drizzling)
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Balsamic glaze (optional, for extra sweetness and tang)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Crostini:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
    • Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.
    • Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Assemble the Crostini:
    • Once the crostini are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
    • Tear the burrata into pieces and spread it generously on top of each crostini.
    • Add a slice or two of fresh peach on top of the burrata. If your peaches are a bit firm, you can grill or roast them briefly to bring out more sweetness and flavor.
    • Top with torn pieces of prosciutto.
  3. Finish the Dish:
    • Drizzle with honey for a touch of sweetness and a bit of balsamic glaze if desired.
    • Season with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
    • Garnish with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color and extra flavor.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve immediately as a vibrant, flavorful appetizer!
