Cheesy Bread Recipe

Posted on August 4, 2025

Here’s a simple and insanely delicious Cheesy Bread Recipe—perfect as a side for pasta, soups, or just as a standalone comfort snack. It’s crisp on the edges, gooey in the center, and loaded with cheese and garlic.

🧄🧀 Easy Cheesy Bread

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread (or use a baguette for smaller portions)

  • 4 tbsp (½ stick) butter, softened

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (optional for extra flavor)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (fresh or dried)

  • Salt, to taste

  • (Optional: red pepper flakes for a little kick)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.

  2. Prepare the bread
Slice the loaf in half horizontally. Place both halves cut-side up on the baking sheet.

  3. Make the garlic butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and a pinch of salt.

  4. Spread & top
Spread the garlic butter evenly over both bread halves. Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar (if using), Parmesan, and parsley on top.

  5. Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For a golden top, broil on high for 1–2 minutes—watch closely!

  6. Serve
Let cool slightly, slice into strips or squares, and serve warm.

🔁 Variations:

  • Add toppings: Try sliced jalapeños, pepperoni, or olives before baking.

  • Make it spicy: Sprinkle with chili flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the butter.

  • Stuffed version: Layer cheese between two slices of bread and bake wrapped in foil.
