Here’s a classic, creamy, and ultra-satisfying cheesecake recipe β€” perfect for special occasions or a cozy dessert night.


🍰 Classic Baked Cheesecake

βœ… Ingredients:

🧁 For the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10–12 crackers)

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

πŸ§€ For the filling:

  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2/3 cup sour cream

  • 2/3 cup heavy cream


πŸ”ͺ Instructions:

1. Prepare the crust:

  • Preheat oven to 325Β°F (163Β°C).

  • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.

  • Press firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan (you can go slightly up the sides if desired).

  • Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.

2. Make the filling:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth (about 2 minutes).

  • Add sugar and vanilla, beat until well combined.

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each.

  • Add sour cream and heavy cream, mix until just combined (don’t overmix!).

3. Assemble & bake:

  • Pour filling over the cooled crust.

  • Optional: wrap the pan in foil and place in a water bath to prevent cracking.

  • Bake for 55–70 minutes, until the edges are set but the center still jiggles slightly.

  • Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.

4. Chill:

  • Remove and cool completely at room temperature.

  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.


πŸ“ Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh berries or berry compote

  • Caramel or chocolate sauce

  • Whipped cream

  • Lemon curd

  • Crushed Oreos or candy


🧊 Storage:

  • Fridge: Up to 5 days.

  • Freezer: Freeze slices or whole cheesecake (wrapped well) for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge.
