Here’s a flavorful and easy recipe for Brown Sugar Italian Pork Chops — juicy, tender chops with a sweet and savory glaze made with pantry staples. This dish is perfect for busy weeknights and pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.


🐖 Brown Sugar Italian Pork Chops

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

  • ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)

  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix (e.g., Good Seasons — about 2 tbsp dry mix)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for browning)

  • Fresh herbs or chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)


🔥 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven (If Baking):

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

  • Lightly grease a baking dish or line with foil for easy cleanup.

2. Prepare Pork Chops:

  • Pat chops dry. Optionally, sear them in a hot skillet with a little olive oil for 1–2 minutes per side to lock in juices.

3. Make the Brown Sugar Rub:

  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and Italian dressing mix.

4. Coat the Chops:

  • Rub the brown sugar mixture evenly over both sides of each pork chop.

5. Cook:

Oven Method:

  • Place in baking dish and bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Slow Cooker Method:

  • Layer pork chops in a slow cooker. Sprinkle with the brown sugar/Italian mix.

  • Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.

Air Fryer Method:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check internal temp (145°F).

  • Garlic mashed potatoes or roasted sweet potatoes

  • Steamed green beans, roasted broccoli, or sautéed spinach

  • A crisp green salad with balsamic dressing


💡 Tips:

  • Want it extra juicy? Marinate the chops for 30 minutes in Italian dressing before applying the brown sugar rub.

  • For added heat, sprinkle in a pinch of red pepper flakes with the brown sugar mix.
