  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional, adds depth)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)

🦞🔪 How to Butterfly Lobster Tails (Prep Step)

  1. Use kitchen shears to cut down the center of the shell (top side), stopping at the tail fin.

  2. Gently pull the meat out and rest it on top of the shell — this creates the “butterfly” look.

  3. Rinse and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet lined with foil.

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat Broiler

  • Preheat your oven’s broiler to high (500°F/260°C). Place rack 5–6 inches from heat source.

2. Season the Lobster Tails

  • Brush lobster meat with olive oil or melted butter.

  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a pinch of paprika.

3. Broil

  • Broil for 7–10 minutes, depending on size, or until lobster meat is opaque and lightly browned.

  • Don’t overcook! Internal temp should be 135–140°F (57–60°C).

4. Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce

  • While lobster is broiling, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

  • Stir in cream, Parmesan, Dijon (if using), and lemon juice.

  • Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Serve

  • Plate the lobster tails and spoon creamy garlic butter sauce over the top.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley, lemon wedges, and extra Parmesan if desired.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Over creamy mashed potatoes or risotto

  • With garlic butter pasta or angel hair

🧊 Tips:

  • You can prep the sauce ahead and reheat gently.

  • Lobster tails cook quickly — watch closely under the broiler.

  • Want extra richness? Add a splash of white wine to the sauce.
