Here’s a classic Breakfast Sandwich recipe — customizable, satisfying, and ready in minutes. Think toasted bread, melty cheese, fluffy egg, and your favorite breakfast meat or veggies. Whether you’re craving something quick on a weekday or hearty on the weekend, this hits the spot every time.


🍳 Classic Breakfast Sandwich

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 egg (or 2, if you want it heartier)

  • 1 English muffin, bagel, croissant, or sandwich roll — toasted

  • 1 slice cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, or pepper jack)

  • 1–2 slices cooked bacon, sausage patty, or ham

  • 1 tsp butter or oil (for cooking)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: avocado, tomato, spinach, or hot sauce


👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Toast the Bread

  • Toast your English muffin or choice of bread until golden. Butter it if you like.

2. Cook the Egg

  • Heat butter or oil in a small nonstick pan over medium heat.

  • Crack the egg into the pan. Cook to your liking:

    • Fried: Sunny-side up or over-easy

    • Scrambled: Whisk beforehand and cook until fluffy

    • Folded: Pour whisked egg into the pan, cook flat like an omelet, then fold to sandwich size

3. Add the Cheese

  • Place the cheese slice over the hot egg so it melts slightly.

4. Assemble the Sandwich

  • Layer the bottom half of your toasted bread with:

    • Egg + melted cheese

    • Bacon, sausage, or ham

    • Optional veggies or extras (spinach, tomato, avocado, etc.)

  • Top with the other half of the bread.

5. Serve Hot!

  • Wrap in foil or parchment if taking on the go.
