Simple and classic! Here’s how to make perfect boiled eggs β€” whether you want soft, medium, or hard yolks.


πŸ₯š How to Boil Eggs

Ingredients:

  • Eggs (as many as you like)

  • Water


πŸ”ͺ Instructions:

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan or pot.

  2. Cover with cold water about 1 inch above the eggs.

  3. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  4. Once boiling, cover the pot with a lid and remove from heat.

  5. Set a timer depending on desired doneness:

Desired Doneness Time to Leave Covered (off heat)
Soft boiled 4–6 minutes
Medium boiled 7–9 minutes
Hard boiled 10–12 minutes
  1. Immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water or cold running water to stop cooking. Let cool for at least 5 minutes.

  2. Peel and enjoy!


Tips:

  • Older eggs peel easier than very fresh eggs.

  • Gently tap and roll eggs on the counter to crack before peeling.

  • Store unpeeled boiled eggs in the fridge for up to 1 week.
