Here’s a comforting, flavorful recipe for Baked Potatoes with Garlic and Butter — crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and loaded with rich garlicky butter. Perfect as a side dish or even a light main!

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet or Yukon Gold potatoes

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley, or Italian blend)

  • Optional: grated Parmesan, fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub potatoes well. You can peel them, but leaving the skin adds flavor and crispiness.

  • Cut potatoes into halves or quarters lengthwise (or into thick wedges if preferred).

  • Pat dry with a towel to remove moisture.

2. Make the Garlic Butter:

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.

3. Coat the Potatoes:

  • Toss potatoes in the garlic butter mixture until evenly coated.

  • Arrange cut side down on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet or roasting pan.

4. Bake:

  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 45–60 minutes, flipping halfway through if needed.

  • Bake until golden, crispy on the edges, and tender inside (check with a fork).

5. Serve:

  • Brush with any leftover garlic butter after baking.

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or a sprinkle of Parmesan if desired.


✅ Tips

  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice or a dollop of sour cream for extra brightness.

  • Want it cheesy? Sprinkle grated cheese over the potatoes during the last 5–10 minutes of baking.

  • For spicy lovers: add a pinch of chili flakes or smoked paprika to the butter mix.
