Backporch Punch

Posted on August 6, 2025

Ah, Backporch Punch—the kind of drink that tastes like sunshine, sweet fruit, and a gentle breeze on a lazy afternoon. It’s fruity, refreshing, and packs a sneaky kick. Perfect for BBQs, picnics, or just chillin’ on the back porch.

🍹 Backporch Punch Recipe

Servings: 6–8
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Chill Time: Optional – 1 hour for best flavor

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups bourbon (or rum, or even vodka—your call)

  • 1 cup peach schnapps

  • 1 cup cranberry juice

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • ½ cup pineapple juice

  • ½ cup lemon-lime soda (Sprite/7-Up, added just before serving)

  • Fresh fruit for garnish: orange slices, lemon wheels, maraschino cherries, or fresh berries

  • Ice

🍹 Directions:

  1. Mix the Base

    • In a large pitcher or punch bowl, stir together the bourbon, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice.

  2. Chill

    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors come together. You can also prepare it ahead of time (up to 24 hours in advance).

  3. Serve

    • Right before serving, stir in lemon-lime soda for that fizzy finish.

    • Serve over ice in glasses or mason jars, and garnish with your favorite fresh fruit.

🍓 Optional Add-Ins:

  • A splash of grenadine for color and sweetness

  • Mint sprigs for a refreshing touch

  • Float with frozen fruit instead of ice cubes to keep it cold without watering it down

🏖️ Make it a Big Batch (Party Style):

Want to serve a crowd? Just double or triple the ingredients and serve in a large drink dispenser or punch bowl. Add ice just before serving to keep it chilled.
