Amish Peanut Butter Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 12 graham crackers)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (or you can use Cool Whip for a quicker option)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the crust:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • In a medium-sized bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter together until everything is well combined.
    • Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish, ensuring the crust is evenly spread.
    • Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, or until it’s lightly golden. Remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Prepare the filling:

    • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
    • Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until combined and smooth.
    • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form (or use Cool Whip if you’re going for an easier shortcut).
    • Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until it’s fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Assemble the pie:

    • Spread the peanut butter cream mixture into the cooled graham cracker crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
    • Optional: Sprinkle chopped peanuts or drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top for extra flavor.
  4. Chill the pie:

    • Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best texture and flavor.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

    • Slice and serve chilled! You can top with a dollop of whipped cream for extra richness if you’d like.
