It’s the perfect dish for those who love both classic comfort food and the indulgent flavor of creamy pasta sauces. These wings are great for game day, parties, or a cozy dinner. They’re easy to make and can be prepared in the oven or fried!

Here’s how to make Alfredo Chicken Wings:

Alfredo Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Wings:

  • 10-12 chicken wings (fresh or thawed if frozen)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Wings

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them crisp up better during cooking.
  3. Toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and any optional herbs like oregano or thyme. Make sure the wings are well-coated with the seasonings.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken Wings

Option 1: Oven-Baked Wings:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Place the seasoned wings on the baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between them for even cooking.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through. Bake until the wings are golden brown and crispy. If you want extra crispiness, you can broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.

Option 2: Fried Wings:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Carefully fry the wings in batches for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring occasionally, until fragrant.
  2. Add the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it starts to thicken slightly.
  3. Stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Step 4: Coat the Wings in Alfredo Sauce

  1. Once the wings are cooked and crispy, place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Pour the warm Alfredo sauce over the wings and toss gently to coat them evenly with the sauce.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  1. Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese for a finishing touch.
  3. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or blue cheese, and enjoy!

Tips & Variations:

  • Grilled Wings: For a smokier flavor, you can grill the wings instead of baking or frying them. Just season the wings and cook them over medium heat until crispy and cooked through.
  • Add veggies: Serve the wings with some steamed broccoli or carrot sticks for extra veggies and a little color on the plate.
  • Make it spicy: Add hot sauce to the Alfredo sauce for a spicy kick, or toss the wings with a buffalo sauce before coating them in Alfredo sauce for a spicy twist on the classic.
  • Crispy skin: For ultra-crispy skin, make sure the wings are patted dry before seasoning. If baking, you can even try adding a little cornstarch to the seasoning mix for extra crispiness.

Storage:

  • Refrigeration: Store any leftover Alfredo Chicken Wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. The wings may lose a little crispiness, but they’ll still taste delicious.
  • Reheating: To reheat, place the wings in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes until heated through, or reheat them in a skillet over low heat to retain some crispiness.

These Alfredo Chicken Wings are the perfect combination of creamy, cheesy goodness and crispy, savory chicken. They’re great for any gathering or simply a fun dinner at home when you want something indulgent!
