Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Posted on June 5, 2025
Here’s a crispy, golden, and super easy Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes recipe — perfect as a side or snack!

🥔 Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Optional: paprika, onion powder, dried rosemary, or parmesan

Instructions:

  1. Prep Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes.

    • Slice them into 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick rounds (use a mandoline for even slices if you have one).

  2. Soak (Optional but recommended):

    • Soak the slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps them crisp up.

    • Drain and pat very dry with a clean towel.

  3. Season:

    • Toss the slices in a bowl with oil, salt, and any seasonings you like. Make sure all slices are well coated.

  4. Air Fry:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

    • Spread slices in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches).

    • Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway. Thinner slices will cook faster; thicker ones may need an extra 2–3 minutes.

  5. Serve:

    • Sprinkle with extra salt, herbs, or cheese if desired. Serve hot and crispy!

🔄 Variations:

  • Cheesy: Add shredded parmesan or cheddar 2 minutes before the end of cooking.

  • Spicy: Add cayenne or chili powder to the seasoning mix.

  • Loaded: Top with sour cream, chives, bacon bits for a loaded potato snack.
