🥔 Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes
Ingredients:
-
2 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes
-
1–2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
Optional: paprika, onion powder, dried rosemary, or parmesan
Instructions:
-
Prep Potatoes:
-
Wash and scrub the potatoes.
-
Slice them into 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick rounds (use a mandoline for even slices if you have one).
-
-
Soak (Optional but recommended):
-
Soak the slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes. This removes excess starch and helps them crisp up.
-
Drain and pat very dry with a clean towel.
-
-
Season:
-
Toss the slices in a bowl with oil, salt, and any seasonings you like. Make sure all slices are well coated.
-
-
Air Fry:
-
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
Spread slices in a single layer (you may need to cook in batches).
-
Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway. Thinner slices will cook faster; thicker ones may need an extra 2–3 minutes.
-
-
Serve:
-
Sprinkle with extra salt, herbs, or cheese if desired. Serve hot and crispy!
-
🔄 Variations:
-
Cheesy: Add shredded parmesan or cheddar 2 minutes before the end of cooking.
-
Spicy: Add cayenne or chili powder to the seasoning mix.
-
Loaded: Top with sour cream, chives, bacon bits for a loaded potato snack.
