π₯ Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes
π Ingredients:
-
2β3 medium potatoes (Yukon gold or russet work well)
-
1β2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
-
Β½ tsp garlic powder
-
Β½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Optional: dried herbs (rosemary, thyme), Parmesan, chili flakes
πͺ Instructions:
1. Slice the Potatoes
-
Wash (and peel, if desired) the potatoes.
-
Slice into ΒΌ-inch thick rounds (use a knife or mandoline for even cuts).
2. Soak the Slices (Optional but Recommended)
-
Place slices in cold water for 15β30 minutes to remove excess starch.
-
Drain and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels β this step helps them crisp.
3. Season
-
Toss slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Coat evenly.
4. Preheat Air Fryer (if required)
-
Set to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
5. Cook
-
Arrange slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
-
Cook for 12β16 minutes, flipping halfway through.
-
Cook time depends on thickness β thinner slices will crisp faster.
6. Serve
-
Sprinkle with extra salt or herbs right out of the fryer.
-
Optional: add grated Parmesan or serve with dipping sauces like garlic aioli, sour cream, or ketchup.
π Tips & Variations:
-
Spicy version: Add chili powder or cayenne.
-
Cheesy: Top with shredded cheddar in the last minute of cooking.
-
Loaded-style: Serve with bacon bits, green onions, and sour cream.
