Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Ingredients:
-
1–2 eggs (depending on your air fryer basket size)
-
Cooking spray or a little oil
-
Hot water
Equipment:
-
Ramekins or small oven-safe bowls (must fit in your air fryer)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 3–5 minutes.
-
Lightly grease your ramekins with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
-
Crack 1 egg into each ramekin.
-
Add hot water (not boiling, just hot from the tap) to each ramekin—about 2–3 tablespoons, just enough to surround the egg and help it poach.
-
Carefully place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
-
Air fry at 370°F for 5–6 minutes for runny yolks, or 7–8 minutes if you prefer a firmer center.
-
Remove ramekins (carefully—they’ll be hot!), and gently lift the egg out with a slotted spoon.
-
Drain on a paper towel and serve immediately!
Tips & Tricks:
-
You can do a “test egg” first since air fryers vary slightly.
-
Don’t skip the hot water—it helps cook the white evenly without overcooking the yolk.

Want it on avocado toast? Add chili flakes and a squeeze of lemon for extra flair.
Want a hack for doing a batch of them at once or for different yolk textures? Let me know!
