Here’s a surprisingly easy and tidy way to make Poached Eggs in the Air Fryer — no swirling water or vinegar needed! This method gives you soft, runny yolks with tender whites, using just a ramekin and a splash of water.
🥚 Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Ingredients (per egg):
-
1 fresh egg
-
2–3 tablespoons water
-
Cooking spray (optional)
-
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prep the Ramekin:
-
Lightly spray a small oven-safe ramekin or silicone muffin cup with cooking spray.
-
Add 2–3 tablespoons of water to it.
2. Crack the Egg:
-
Gently crack an egg into the ramekin, over the water.
3. Air Fry:
-
Place the ramekin(s) in the cold air fryer basket.
-
Set air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 5–6 minutes.
-
For a runny yolk, check around 5 minutes.
-
For firmer yolks, go closer to 7 minutes.
-
4. Remove & Serve:
-
Carefully lift out the ramekin — it will be hot!
-
Use a slotted spoon to gently remove the egg and drain excess water.
-
Season with salt, pepper, or herbs and serve immediately.
📝 Tips:
-
Use fresh eggs for best poaching results — they hold their shape better.
-
For easier removal, swirl a spoon gently around the edge of the egg before lifting it out.
-
Serve over toast, avocado, greens, or an English muffin with hollandaise for a quick Eggs Benedict.
