Air fryer Poached Eggs

Making poached eggs in an air fryer is super easy and a great way to skip the mess of traditional stovetop poaching! Here’s a simple recipe to follow:

Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1-2 tbsp of water
  • Non-stick spray or a small amount of oil (to grease the ramekins)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Ramekins: Lightly grease two ramekins or small oven-safe cups with non-stick spray or a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Add Water: Pour 1-2 tbsp of water into each ramekin. This will create steam and help cook the eggs properly.
  4. Crack the Eggs: Carefully crack an egg into each ramekin, making sure not to break the yolk.
  5. Air Fry: Place the ramekins into the air fryer basket. Cook for about 8-10 minutes for soft poached eggs (adjust time for firmer eggs if desired).
  6. Check for Doneness: After 8 minutes, check the eggs. The whites should be set, and the yolk should still be runny. If you like firmer eggs, cook them for another minute or two.
  7. Serve: Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer. Let the eggs sit for a minute or two to firm up slightly. Then, use a spoon or spatula to gently remove the eggs.
  8. Optional: Season with salt, pepper, or any other favorite toppings, and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Make sure your ramekins are the right size for your air fryer basket so they fit comfortably.
  • If you prefer a runny yolk, keep a close eye on the eggs during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • You can adjust the number of eggs based on how many ramekins fit in your air fryer at once.

This method is quick and mess-free, and you’ll have perfectly poached eggs with minimal effort!
