Here’s an easy Air Fryer Lasagna recipe that’s quick, delicious, and perfect for when you want to make a smaller batch of lasagna without turning on the oven. It’s loaded with cheese, sauce, and meat (or veggies) for a satisfying meal.
Air Fryer Lasagna
Ingredients:
- 4-6 no-boil lasagna noodles (depending on your air fryer size)
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, or veggies for a vegetarian version)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning (or basil and oregano)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the ingredients:
- Cook the ground beef (or your choice of meat/veggies) in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce to the cooked meat, and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes while you prepare the other layers.
- Prepare the cheese mixture:
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and egg. Stir until smooth. Set aside.
- Assemble the lasagna:
- Cut the no-boil lasagna noodles to fit your air fryer basket or pan (if necessary).
- Start by spreading a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of an air fryer-safe pan or baking dish that fits in your air fryer.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
- Add a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture, followed by another layer of meat sauce. Repeat until all layers are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce.
- Top with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Cook the lasagna:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Cover the lasagna with foil (to prevent the cheese from over-browning) and cook for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the lasagna are golden brown.
- Rest and serve:
- Let the lasagna rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Tips:
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to adjust the number of layers or the cooking time slightly.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute the ground meat with sautéed veggies like mushrooms, zucchini, and spinach.
- If you prefer your noodles softer, you can soak the no-boil noodles in hot water for 5 minutes before layering them.
This Air Fryer Lasagna is perfect for smaller meals or when you want a quicker, hassle-free lasagna without using your oven. Enjoy!
