🍒 Air Fryer Cherry Pie Bubble Up
🍽️ Serves: 4–6
⏱️ Total Time: 20–25 minutes
✅ Ingredients:
-
1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands, cut into quarters)
-
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
-
2 tbsp melted butter
-
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
-
2 tbsp sugar (optional, for sprinkling)
Optional Glaze:
-
½ cup powdered sugar
-
1–2 tbsp milk
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Prep the dough:
-
Open the biscuit can and cut each biscuit into quarters.
-
In a bowl, toss biscuit pieces with melted butter, and cinnamon & sugar if using.
2. Assemble the bubble up:
-
Lightly grease a 6- or 7-inch round air fryer-safe pan (or foil pan).
-
Layer half of the biscuit pieces in the pan.
-
Spoon over half the cherry pie filling.
-
Repeat with remaining biscuit pieces and cherry filling.
3. Air fry:
-
Place the pan in the air fryer basket.
-
Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 14–18 minutes, checking after 12. The biscuits should be puffed and golden, and cooked through in the center.
⚠️ If the top is browning too fast, cover loosely with foil and continue cooking.
4. Make the glaze (optional):
-
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
-
Drizzle over the bubble-up once slightly cooled.
🍽️ Serving Suggestions:
-
Best served warm!
-
Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
🔁 Tips & Variations:
-
Try with apple pie filling + caramel drizzle for a fall twist.
-
Use cinnamon rolls instead of biscuits for extra sweetness.
-
For single servings, make in ramekins and reduce cook time to 8–10 minutes.
