Air Fryer Cauliflower

Posted on August 30, 2025
Air fryer cauliflower is such a great side dish—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and so quick to make! You can season it however you like—classic, spicy, or even with some cheesy goodness. Here’s a simple, flavorful recipe to get you started.

Air Fryer Cauliflower (Crispy and Delicious)

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional for extra flavor)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for extra cheesy flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cauliflower:

    • Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets. Try to make them as uniform in size as possible for even cooking.

  2. Season:

    • In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure all the florets are well-coated with the oil and seasoning.

  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. This will help the cauliflower get that crispy texture.

  4. Air Fry the Cauliflower:

    • Arrange the seasoned cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer).

    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. The cauliflower should be golden and crispy on the edges when done.

  5. Optional Garnish:

    • Once cooked, sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan for an extra burst of flavor!

  6. Serve:

    • Serve immediately as a side dish, or even as a snack with some dipping sauce (like ranch, buffalo sauce, or a garlic aioli).

Tips:

  • For extra crispy cauliflower: You can lightly coat the florets with cornstarch before seasoning, or spray the cauliflower with a little more oil halfway through cooking.

  • Spicy version: Add some cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning mix for a spicy kick.

  • Buffalo Style: Toss the cooked cauliflower in buffalo sauce for a spicy, tangy version that’s perfect for snacking or serving as a game day appetizer.

This recipe is a great base that you can customize with different seasonings or toppings. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!
