🍗 Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or substitute with almond flour for low-carb)

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons water or milk

  • Cooking spray or a little oil for spraying


Instructions:

1. Prep Wings

  • Pat wings dry with paper towels (dry wings = crispier skin!).

2. Prepare Breading Station

  • In one bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • In another bowl, whisk eggs with water or milk.

3. Bread the Wings

  • Dip each wing in the egg wash, then dredge thoroughly in the flour mixture.

  • Shake off excess flour.

4. Preheat Air Fryer

  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3 minutes.

5. Cook the Wings

  • Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket (avoid overcrowding — cook in batches if needed).

  • Spray wings lightly with cooking spray or brush with a little oil.

  • Cook at 380°F for 25–30 minutes, flipping and spraying halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).


Serving Suggestions:

  • Toss with your favorite wing sauce like buffalo, BBQ, honey garlic, or teriyaki.

  • Serve with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing.


Tips:

  • For extra crispy wings, double-dip: egg wash → flour → egg wash → flour.

  • If you want a spicier kick, add cayenne or chili powder to the flour mix.

  • Clean the air fryer basket right after cooking to avoid stuck-on crumbs.
