🍗 Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
-
2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
-
1 cup all-purpose flour or breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
-
2 eggs
-
1 tbsp water
-
1 tsp salt
-
1/2 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
-
Optional: 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (for heat)
-
Cooking spray or a little oil
Instructions:
-
Prep the wings:
-
Pat the wings dry with paper towels. This helps them get crispy.
-
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
-
-
Season:
-
In a large bowl, season the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder. Mix well to coat.
-
-
Bread the wings:
-
In one bowl, whisk eggs and water.
-
In another bowl, place the flour or breadcrumbs.
-
Dip each wing first in the egg wash, then coat in flour/breadcrumbs. Press lightly to ensure a good coating.
-
-
Air fry:
-
Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
-
Place wings in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
-
Lightly spray the tops of the wings with oil.
-
Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 25–28 minutes, flipping halfway through.
-
For extra crispiness, increase to 400°F (204°C) for the last 2–3 minutes.
-
-
Serve:
-
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
-
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce (ranch, blue cheese, buffalo, etc.).
