Air Fryer Baked Potatoes

Here’s a super easy and foolproof recipe for Air Fryer Baked Potatoes β€” crispy skin, fluffy insides, and ready in less time than the oven!


πŸ₯” Ingredients:

  • 2–4 medium russet potatoes (6–8 oz each, scrubbed and dried)

  • 1–2 tsp olive oil

  • Kosher salt (to taste)

  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, etc.


πŸ”₯ Instructions:

1. Prep the Potatoes:

  • Scrub potatoes clean and pat them dry.

  • Prick each potato a few times with a fork (this allows steam to escape).

  • Rub each with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.

2. Air Fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

  • Place potatoes in the basket in a single layer with some space between them.

  • Cook for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the center.

3. Serve:

  • Let rest for 5 minutes after cooking.

  • Slice open, fluff the insides with a fork, and load up with your favorite toppings!

  • For extra crispy skin, you can add a little garlic powder or rosemary to the oil before rubbing.

  • Use russet potatoes for the best fluffy texture inside.

  • If you’re short on time, start them in the microwave for 4–5 minutes before finishing in the air fryer (cut total air fryer time by ~10 minutes).
