Here’s a super simple and tasty recipe for Air Fryer Bacon and Egg Toast — perfect for a quick breakfast or brunch treat!
Air Fryer Bacon and Egg Toast
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
-
2 slices of bread (any kind you like)
-
2 eggs
-
2 slices of bacon
-
Butter or cooking spray (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped chives, hot sauce, avocado
Instructions:
-
Prep the Bread:
-
Lightly butter one side of each slice (optional).
-
Use a spoon or your fingers to press down the center of the bread to create a shallow “well” for the egg.
-
-
Add Bacon:
-
Partially cook the bacon in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes at 350°F (175°C), so it’s flexible but not fully cooked.
-
Set aside. You’ll finish cooking it with the toast.
-
-
Crack the Egg:
-
Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket.
-
Crack an egg into each bread “well.”
-
Season with salt and pepper.
-
Lay the partially cooked bacon around or on top of the egg.
-
-
Air Fry:
-
Cook at 350°F (175°C) for about 6–8 minutes, depending on how runny or firm you like your yolks.
-
Keep an eye on it after 5 minutes—some air fryers run hotter than others!
-
-
Add Optional Toppings:
-
If using cheese, sprinkle it on in the last 1–2 minutes of cooking.
-
Top with fresh herbs or sauces after it’s done.
-
Tips:
-
Add a layer of cheese or avocado under the egg for extra flavor.
-
Want a more golden toast? Pre-toast the bread slightly before adding the egg.
