Here’s a simple and delicious Easy Tiramisu recipe that doesn’t require any baking!
Ingredients:
- 1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi biscuits)
- 1 cup brewed coffee or espresso, cooled (or 1 cup strong coffee substitute)
- 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional, like KahlĂșa)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the coffee mixture:
- In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee (or espresso) with the coffee liqueur (if using). Stir to mix and set aside to cool.
- Whip the cream:
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer for this step.
- Mix the mascarpone filling:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Combine the whipped cream and mascarpone:
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the tiramisu:
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture (don’t soak them, just a quick dip so they don’t get too soggy) and layer them in the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish or an 8×8-inch square pan.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Chill and serve:
- Cover and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) to let the flavors meld and the dessert firm up.
- Before serving, dust the top with unsweetened cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
This easy tiramisu is creamy, rich, and delicious, with the perfect coffee flavor. Enjoy!
