Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread!

Posted on January 15, 2025

Here’s a recipe for Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread, which results in a soft, slightly sweet, and incredibly fluffy loaf. The condensed milk gives it a subtle sweetness and richness, making it perfect for breakfast, sandwiches, or just enjoying on its own.

Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered milk (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water (about 110°F/45°C)
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk (whole or any kind you prefer)
  • Extra butter for brushing (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, powdered milk (if using), sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix to combine.

2. Add Wet Ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the warm water, condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and milk.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon or your hands until a dough forms.

3. Knead the Dough:

  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth, elastic, and slightly tacky but not overly sticky. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook to knead for about 6-7 minutes on medium speed.

4. First Rise:

  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

5. Shape the Dough:

  • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a loaf. You can shape it by rolling the dough into a log and placing it in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan, or you can divide the dough into smaller portions to make mini loaves or rolls.

6. Second Rise:

  • Cover the shaped dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes, or until it has risen to the top of the loaf pan (it should be about 1.5 times its original size).

7. Bake the Bread:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the dough has finished its second rise, place the loaf in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes for a single loaf, or 15-20 minutes for smaller rolls, until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.

8. Cool and Serve:

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Optional: Brush the top with a little melted butter for extra shine and softness.

Tips:

  • If the dough feels too sticky, add a small amount of flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches the right consistency.
  • You can experiment with adding flavorings like vanilla extract or a dash of cinnamon to the dough for a unique twist.
  • For a slightly softer crumb, you can wrap the loaf in a clean kitchen towel while it cools to keep the crust soft.

This Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread is sure to be a hit—it’s light, slightly sweet, and perfect for all your bread needs! Enjoy!
