Here’s a refreshing and delicious Tropical Berry-Mango Shaved Ice recipe for you to enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • For the Mango Syrup:
    • 1 ripe mango (peeled, pitted, and chopped)
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, adjust for sweetness)
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • For the Berry Syrup:
    • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries)
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, adjust for sweetness)
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • For the Shaved Ice:
    • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Optional toppings:
    • Fresh fruit slices (mango, strawberries, berries, etc.)
    • Sweetened condensed milk or coconut milk (for extra creaminess)
    • A sprinkle of mint leaves or shredded coconut for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare Mango Syrup:

  • In a blender, combine the chopped mango, water, honey/agave syrup, and lime juice.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • If the syrup is too thick, add a little more water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp, if you prefer a smoother syrup.
  • Set aside.

2. Prepare Berry Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the mixed berries, water, honey/agave syrup, and lemon juice.
  • Heat over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes, mashing the berries with a spoon to release their juices.
  • Once the mixture has thickened, strain it through a fine mesh strainer to remove the solids.
  • Set aside.

3. Shave the Ice:

  • Use a shaved ice machine or a blender to crush the ice into a fine, fluffy texture. If using a blender, pulse in short bursts until you achieve the desired consistency.

4. Assemble the Shaved Ice:

  • Scoop the shaved ice into serving bowls or cups.
  • Drizzle the mango syrup over the shaved ice, followed by the berry syrup. You can swirl the syrups together or keep them separate for a layered effect.

5. Optional Toppings:

  • Add fresh fruit slices on top of the shaved ice.
  • For extra richness, drizzle some sweetened condensed milk or coconut milk over the top.
  • Garnish with mint leaves or shredded coconut if desired.

Tips:

  • You can make the syrups ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
  • For an extra tropical twist, add some coconut flakes or pineapple chunks on top of the shaved ice.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the syrups based on your preference. Some fruits might be sweeter than others, so you may not need as much honey/agave.

Enjoy your Tropical Berry-Mango Shaved Ice!
