Here’s a classic Garlic Bread recipe that’s simple and packed with flavor!

Garlic Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread (or any bread you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced (or 1-2 tbsp garlic powder if you prefer)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (or 1 tbsp fresh, chopped parsley)
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra richness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread: Slice your loaf of bread in half lengthwise. If you prefer individual slices, cut them into pieces before spreading on the butter.
  3. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano, and Parmesan cheese (if using). Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Spread Butter: Spread the garlic butter evenly on the cut sides of the bread, ensuring that it’s generously covered.
  5. Bake: Place the bread halves on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing up. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. For extra crispy edges, you can broil the bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, but keep an eye on it to avoid burning!
  6. Serve: Slice into individual pieces and serve warm!
