Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp

Here’s a Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe that’s quick, easy, and packed with flavor — ready in about 15 minutes!


🦐 Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp Recipe

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail-on optional)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Juice of 1 lemon (plus zest, optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Sauté garlic:
    In a large skillet, heat olive oil + 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
    Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.

  3. Cook the shrimp:
    Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook 1.5–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
    (Don’t overcook or they’ll get rubbery.)

  4. Add lemon & butter:
    Squeeze in the lemon juice, add lemon zest (if using), and stir in the remaining 1 tbsp of butter.
    Toss to coat shrimp in the sauce.

  5. Finish & garnish:
    Sprinkle with parsley, a pinch of red pepper flakes (if desired), and garnish with lemon slices.


🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Over angel hair pasta or rice

  • With crusty bread to soak up the sauce

  • As a topping for zoodles or salad
