Posted on September 23, 2025

Ooo, crockpot steak bites—perfect for easy, tender, flavorful beef without a lot of fuss! Here’s a simple recipe to get those juicy bites ready in the slow cooker:

Crockpot Steak Bites

Serves: 4
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 3-4 hours (low) or 1.5-2 hours (high)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (about 700g) sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons beef broth or water

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional, adds a nice tang)

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prep steak: Cut your steak into 1- to 2-inch cubes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  2. Mix sauce: In a bowl, whisk together garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and balsamic vinegar.

  3. Layer in crockpot: Place steak bites in the crockpot. Pour the sauce mixture over the top and toss to coat.

  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1.5-2 hours, until steak is tender but not falling apart.

  5. Optional step: For a bit of a crust, you can quickly sear the cooked steak bites in a hot skillet with a little oil after slow cooking.

  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or with veggies.
