Posted on September 22, 2025

Oh, slow cooker cheesy tortellini? That’s a creamy, comforting, hands-off dinner win — perfect for busy days or cozy nights!

Here’s a simple, delicious recipe for Slow Cooker Cheesy Tortellini that melts in your mouth and requires minimal effort:

🧀🍝 Slow Cooker Cheesy Tortellini

Ingredients:

  • 1 (20 oz) package refrigerated cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

  • 3 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add sauce & seasoning:
In the slow cooker, combine marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Cook tortellini:
Add tortellini to the slow cooker and stir to coat. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours or on HIGH for 1 hour, stirring halfway through.

  3. Add cheese:
About 15 minutes before the end of cooking, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Cover and let cheese melt.

  4. Serve:
Stir gently to combine cheese with tortellini. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Tips:

  • If you want it extra creamy, stir in ¼ cup cream cheese along with the marinara.

  • Add cooked Italian sausage or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.

  • Don’t overcook tortellini—fresh or refrigerated cook faster, frozen tortellini may need a little more time.
