1 small onion, diced

1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes

4 cups beef or chicken broth

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt & pepper, to taste

6 oz no-boil lasagna noodles, broken into bite-sized pieces

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Brown the meat

In a large pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned and onion is softened.
