Better Than Fries Crispy Delicious and Very Easy

For a crispy and easy side dish that’s better than fries, try making Crispy Parmesan Roasted Potatoes. They’re simple, full of flavor, and super crispy! Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work best)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or regular)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Prepare Potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Leave the skin on for extra crispiness.
  • Cut the potatoes into wedges or small cubes (about 1-inch pieces). Try to keep them uniform in size for even cooking.

3. Season Potatoes:

  • In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges or cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Coat them evenly.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese and toss again until all the potatoes are well-coated and the cheese sticks to the surface.

4. Roast Potatoes:

  • Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure there’s space between them to allow for crispiness.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through. The potatoes should be golden and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

5. Garnish and Serve:

  • Remove from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
  • Serve hot, and enjoy!

Tips for Extra Crispiness:

  • Cut potatoes into uniform pieces so they cook evenly.
  • Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet. If the potatoes are too close together, they’ll steam instead of crisp up.
  • Use a cooling rack: For even more crispiness, place the potatoes on a wire rack over the baking sheet so air can circulate around them.

These Crispy Parmesan Roasted Potatoes are crunchy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make—definitely better than fries!
