3-Minute Liquid Dough Garlic Flatbread

Posted on September 3, 2025

Here’s a quick and easy recipe for a 3-Minute Liquid Dough Garlic Flatbread — perfect when you want fresh, soft flatbread with garlic flavor, made in minutes with minimal ingredients!

🥖 3-Minute Liquid Dough Garlic Flatbread

Servings: 4

Total Time: ~15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup water (warm, about 110°F/43°C)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or dried Italian herbs (optional)

  • Extra olive oil or melted butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Make the Liquid Dough:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a wet, sticky dough forms. Don’t worry if it’s loose!

  2. Add Garlic Flavor:
Stir minced garlic and herbs into the dough.

  3. Cook the Flatbread:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the pan.
Pour about 1/4 cup of the dough into the skillet and spread gently into a rough circle (it will be loose, but it will cook and firm up).
Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden and bubbles form on top. Flip carefully and cook the other side for 2 minutes.

  4. Serve:
Brush with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle extra herbs if desired. Serve warm.

Tips

  • Add shredded cheese or chili flakes into the dough for a twist.

  • Use as a quick side for soups, salads, or dips.

  • You can double the recipe and keep dough in the fridge for 1 day.
