Taco Spaghetti

Taco Spaghetti is a fun fusion dish that blends the bold flavors of tacos with the comfort of spaghetti. It’s easy to make, family-friendly, and perfect for weeknight dinners.

Here’s a simple Taco Spaghetti recipe:


🌮 Taco Spaghetti Recipe

Servings: 4-6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes


📝 Ingredients:

  • 8 oz spaghetti (half a box)

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade*)

  • 1 cup water (or beef broth for more flavor)

  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)

  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped cilantro, sliced olives, jalapeños, avocado, crushed tortilla chips


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Cook Spaghetti:
    In a large pot, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Brown the Meat:
    In a large skillet or pot, heat a tablespoon of oil. Add ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

  3. Add Onion & Garlic:
    Stir in diced onion and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened and fragrant.

  4. Season & Simmer:
    Add taco seasoning, Rotel, and water. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. Combine:
    Add cooked spaghetti into the meat mixture. Toss to coat evenly.

  6. Cheese It Up:
    Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Cover with a lid and let it melt, or stir it in for a cheesy mix.

  7. Serve:
    Plate and top with your favorite taco toppings!


🌟 Optional: Homemade Taco Seasoning

Mix together:

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp oregano

  • Salt and pepper to taste
