Here’s a bright and flavorful recipe for Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet — a quick, light dish perfect for weeknight dinners or elegant meals alike. The buttery lemon sauce adds just the right zing to flaky white fish.


🍋🧈 Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 4 white fish fillets (tilapia, cod, haddock, halibut, or flounder)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or a mix of oil and butter for searing)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2–3 tbsp)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Lemon slices, for garnish


🔧 Instructions:

1. Season the fish:

  • Pat fish fillets dry.

  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2. Sear the fish:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add fish fillets and cook 2–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and cooked through (fish should flake easily with a fork).

  • Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Make the lemon butter sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté 30 seconds (don’t burn it).

  • Stir in lemon zest and juice.

  • Let simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.

  • Stir in fresh parsley.

4. Serve:

  • Spoon lemon butter sauce over the fish fillets.

  • Garnish with extra parsley and lemon slices.


🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Over rice, couscous, or quinoa

  • Alongside roasted asparagus, steamed broccoli, or a green salad

  • With crusty bread to soak up the sauce
