Puff pastry appetizers are always a hit — buttery, flaky, and versatile! Here are a few easy and crowd-pleasing ideas:


🧀 Cheese & Herb Puff Pastry Twists

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry sheet (thawed)

  • Grated Parmesan or cheddar

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary

  • Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out puff pastry and sprinkle cheese and herbs evenly.

  3. Fold in half, press lightly, then cut into strips.

  4. Twist each strip and place on a baking sheet.

  5. Brush with egg wash and bake for 12–15 min until golden.


🍅 Tomato & Goat Cheese Tartlets

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry sheet

  • Cherry tomatoes (halved)

  • Goat cheese

  • Fresh basil

  • Olive oil, salt, and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cut puff pastry into 3″ squares.

  2. Score a smaller square inside each piece (don’t cut through).

  3. Crumble goat cheese inside the scored area, top with tomatoes.

  4. Drizzle olive oil, season, and bake at 400°F for 15–20 min.

  5. Garnish with basil after baking.


🥓 Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Puff Bites

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry sheet

  • Asparagus spears (trimmed)

  • Bacon strips (halved)

  • Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Spread mustard on puff pastry, cut into thin strips.

  2. Wrap each asparagus spear with a strip of bacon, then spiral puff pastry around it.

  3. Bake at 400°F for 15–18 min until pastry is golden and bacon is crisp.
