Garlic bread.

Posted on August 30, 2025

You got it — here’s a classic Garlic Bread recipe that’s buttery, garlicky, crispy on the edges, and soft in the middle. Perfect as a side for pasta, soups, salads, or just by itself (no judgment).

🧄🍞 Classic Garlic Bread

🍽️ Servings: 6–8

⏱️ Ready in: 15–20 minutes

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread (or baguette for smaller portions)

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3–5 cloves garlic, minced (or use 1–1½ tsp garlic powder)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

  • 1/4 tsp salt (skip if using salted butter)

  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

🔥 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

  • Set oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

2. Make Garlic Butter:

  • In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and any optional add-ins like cheese or pepper flakes.

3. Prepare the Bread:

  • Slice the bread in half lengthwise, like a book.

  • Spread the garlic butter evenly on both cut sides.

4. Bake:

  • Place bread butter-side up on the baking sheet.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the butter is melted and edges begin to crisp.

  • For extra crunch, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end — watch closely!

5. Slice & Serve:

  • Let cool slightly, then cut into slices and serve warm.

🔄 Variations:

  • Cheesy garlic bread: Add shredded mozzarella on top before baking.

  • Garlic knots or rolls: Use the same butter mixture on baked rolls or pizza dough knots.

  • Make-ahead tip: Assemble and freeze before baking; just thaw slightly and bake as directed.
