Here’s a simple, flavorful, and crowd-pleasing Shrimp Scampi Bake recipe — buttery, garlicky shrimp with a touch of lemon, baked until golden and perfect over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.


🍤 Shrimp Scampi Bake

Yields: 4 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15–20 minutes


🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of ½ a lemon (plus extra wedges for serving)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional, but brightens it up)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ⅓ cup dry white wine or chicken broth

  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Optional: grated Parmesan for topping


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prepare the Shrimp Mixture

In a bowl, combine shrimp with:

  • Melted butter

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic

  • Lemon juice + zest

  • Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes

Toss until shrimp are well coated.

3. Assemble in Baking Dish

  • Pour wine or broth into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Spread shrimp evenly in a single layer.

  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.

4. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.

  • Broil on high for 1–2 minutes at the end if you want the top golden and crispy.

5. Finish and Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and (optional) Parmesan.

  • Serve over linguine, angel hair pasta, rice, or with toasted bread.


📝 Tips & Variations

  • Want more sauce? Double the butter and wine/broth.

  • Low-carb option: Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.

  • Add-ins: Thinly sliced shallots or cherry tomatoes can be added before baking.

  • Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate up to 4 hours in advance. Bake just before serving.
