π Ingredients (Serves 2β3)
For the Seafood:

2 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless

8β10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt & pepper, to taste

1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

2 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
Juice of 1/2 lemon
-
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
For the Mashed Potatoes:

1.5 lbs (about 3β4 medium) Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled & cubed

4 tbsp butter
-
1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)

Salt & white pepper, to taste

Optional: 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese for extra richness

1. Make the Mashed Potatoes:

Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15β20 minutes).

Drain and mash until smooth.

Stir in butter and cream (and sour cream or cream cheese, if using).

Season with salt and white pepper. Cover to keep warm.
2. Cook the Salmon:

Pat salmon dry. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear salmon (skin-side down first, if using skin) for 3β4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Shrimp & Garlic Butter Sauce:

In the same skillet, lower heat to medium.

Add 2 tbsp butter. Once melted, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add shrimp and cook 1β2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked.
