πŸ“ Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

For the Seafood:

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless

  • 8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

For the Mashed Potatoes:

  • 1.5 lbs (about 3–4 medium) Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, peeled & cubed

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)

  • Salt & white pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1/4 cup sour cream or cream cheese for extra richness

1. Make the Mashed Potatoes:

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15–20 minutes).

  2. Drain and mash until smooth.

  3. Stir in butter and cream (and sour cream or cream cheese, if using).

  4. Season with salt and white pepper. Cover to keep warm.


2. Cook the Salmon:

  1. Pat salmon dry. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Sear salmon (skin-side down first, if using skin) for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.


3. Cook the Shrimp & Garlic Butter Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium.

  2. Add 2 tbsp butter. Once melted, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked.

  4. Squeeze in lemon juice and stir in parsley.

  5. Return salmon to the skillet briefly to warm through and coat in the garlic butter.


4. Plate & Serve:

  • Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates.

  • Top with salmon and shrimp.

  • Drizzle garlic butter sauce over everything.

  • Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
