Sure! Here’s a go-to, versatile recipe for juicy pork chops — pan-seared and optionally oven-finished — with a few variations depending on how you want to cook them.


🥩 Juicy Garlic Herb Pork Chops (Bone-in or Boneless)

🧺 Ingredients:

  • 2–4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or butter)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (smoked or regular)

  • Optional: Fresh rosemary, thyme, or sage


🔧 Instructions (Stovetop + Optional Oven)

1. Bring to Room Temp

  • Let pork chops sit at room temp for 15–20 minutes before cooking for even doneness.

2. Season

  • Pat chops dry with paper towels.

  • Season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

3. Sear

  • Heat oil or butter in a cast iron or oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add pork chops and sear 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  • Add fresh herbs to the pan for aroma if using.

4. Optional: Finish in Oven

  • For thick chops (over 1 inch), transfer skillet to a 400°F (200°C) oven for 5–8 minutes until internal temp reaches:

    • 145°F (63°C) for medium (juicy, slightly pink)

    • 160°F (71°C) for well-done

5. Rest

  • Let chops rest for 5 minutes before cutting. This locks in juices.


🍎 Variations:

🍯 Honey Garlic Glaze (after searing)

  • Mix 2 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp soy sauce + 2 garlic cloves (minced)

  • Pour into pan, simmer 2–3 minutes to glaze

🍏 Apple & Onion Pork Chops

  • After removing chops, sauté sliced apples and onions in the same pan

  • Deglaze with a splash of apple cider or white wine

🔥 Air Fryer Pork Chops

  • Preheat to 400°F

  • Air fry 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway (use same seasonings)
