Air Fryer Potato Slices

Posted on August 8, 2025

Here’s a quick and easy recipe for Air Fryer Potato Slices — crispy on the outside, tender inside, and super customizable. They’re like potato chips meets home fries!

Air Fryer Potato Slices

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley) or grated Parmesan

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub potatoes (peeling optional).

    • Slice into ¼-inch thick rounds — not too thin, not too thick.

    • Soak slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch (for crispier results).

    • Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.

  2. Season:

    • Toss the dry potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  3. Preheat & Cook:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.

    • Place slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).

    • Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  4. Finish & Serve:

    • Sprinkle with fresh herbs, Parmesan, or a dash of vinegar if you like.

    • Serve hot with dips like ranch, ketchup, or sour cream.

Tips:

  • Thinner slices = crispier, but watch closely to avoid burning.

  • Try seasoning blends like Cajun, ranch, or lemon pepper.

  • Want them extra crispy? Spray with a bit of cooking oil halfway through.
