Here’s a quick, tasty recipe for Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef — perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep. Think of it like a burrito or taco wrap with customizable toppings!


🌯 Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef

📝 Ingredients:

For the beef filling:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce or salsa (optional, for juiciness)

Wrap components:

  • 4–6 large flour tortillas

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.)

  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • Salsa or hot sauce

  • Avocado or guacamole

  • Optional: jalapeños, corn, beans, or rice


🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the Beef Filling:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add onion and cook until soft (about 3–4 minutes).

  • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.

  • Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.

  • Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Stir in spices, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce or salsa.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes until well combined and slightly thickened.

2. Warm the Tortillas:

  • Heat tortillas in a dry skillet for 10–15 seconds per side or wrap in foil and warm in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for a few minutes.

3. Assemble the Wraps:

  • Lay out a tortilla and layer with lettuce, beef, cheese, tomatoes, and any other toppings you like.

  • Drizzle with sour cream or salsa.

  • Fold in the sides, then roll tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.


🧑‍🍳 Tips:

  • Want a crispy wrap? Grill the filled wrap in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.

  • Make it spicy: Add chipotle peppers, jalapeños, or hot sauce.

  • Make-ahead: Store cooked beef in the fridge and assemble fresh wraps as needed.
