Here’s a smooth and creamy Vanilla Ice Cream recipe using the Thermomix — easy to prepare and absolutely delicious!

🍦 Vanilla Ice Cream (Thermomix Recipe)

📝 Ingredients:

  • 600 g full cream milk

  • 300 g thickened cream (or heavy cream)

  • 150 g caster sugar

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
(or 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped)

  • 6 egg yolks

  • Pinch of salt

🥄 Instructions:

1. Make the Custard Base:

  • Add milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, egg yolks, and salt to the Thermomix bowl.

  • Cook for 8 minutes / 90°C / speed 4.

✅ Tip: If using a vanilla bean, add both seeds and pod before cooking and remove the pod after.

2. Cool the Mixture:

  • Once cooked, pour the custard into a bowl and let it cool slightly.

  • Then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until very cold.

3. Churn or Freeze:

  • If you have an ice cream maker:
Pour the chilled mixture into the machine and churn according to its instructions. Freeze for 2–4 hours to firm up.

  • If no ice cream maker:
Pour the custard into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. Once frozen:

    • Place the cubes into the Thermomix bowl.

    • Blend 30 sec / speed 6, then 20 sec / speed 4 with the spatula until smooth and creamy.

    • Serve immediately as soft-serve, or transfer to a container and freeze 1–2 hours for scoopable texture.

🍨 Optional Add-ins:

Add chopped chocolate, crushed cookies, or caramel swirl after blending for extra flavor.
