Posted on August 4, 2025

Here’s a copycat recipe for Cracker Barrel Chicken Tenderloins, made lighter and faster in the air fryer—tender, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor. These are perfect for dipping or serving with your favorite sides.

🍗 Air Fryer Cracker Barrel Chicken Tenderloins (Copycat)

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1½ lbs chicken tenderloins (or sliced chicken breast)

  • ¼ cup Italian dressing

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Nonstick cooking spray (for air fryer)

⏲️ Marinade Time: At least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours)

🍽️ Cook Time: ~10–12 minutes

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Make the marinade
In a bowl or zip-top bag, mix Italian dressing, honey, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Marinate the chicken
Add chicken tenderloins to the marinade. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.

  3. Preheat the air fryer
Set air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes.

  4. Air fry the chicken
Lightly spray the basket with oil. Place tenderloins in a single layer (in batches if needed).
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C) and outside is slightly browned.

  5. Serve hot
Serve with dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ, and pair with sides like mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, or green beans.

🔁 Optional Add-Ons:

  • Want a crispy version? Lightly dredge the marinated chicken in seasoned flour or breadcrumbs before air frying.

  • Spicy twist: Add a dash of cayenne or hot sauce to the marinade.
