Cream Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Doritos Chicken

It’s cheesy. It’s crunchy. It’s bacon-loaded. This is the kind of recipe that feels like fair food meets comfort dinner — and it’s easier to make than it sounds.

🐔 Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the Filling:

  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella

  • 4–6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

  • 1 tbsp chives or green onions (optional)

For the Coating:

  • 2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep the Filling

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and chives/green onion until well combined.

2. Prep the Chicken

  • Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket, being careful not to cut all the way through.

  • Season chicken inside and out with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling into each pocket. Press lightly to seal (use toothpicks if needed).

3. Crust It with Doritos

  • Place flour, beaten eggs, and crushed Doritos in three separate shallow bowls.

  • Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then press into Doritos to coat all sides.

4. Bake (or Air Fry)

Oven Method:

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

  • Place chicken on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until internal temp hits 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden and crispy.

Air Fryer Method:

  • Air fry at 375°F for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway.


✨ Optional Extras:

  • Drizzle with ranch or hot sauce before serving.

  • Add jalapeños to the filling for a spicy twist.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, or a simple salad to balance the richness.
